Renaissance Man is blowing up everywhere now so I thought I may as well jump on the bandwagon and post a track.

The boys are signed to the Dubsided alongside some favorites of mine including Herve , Sinden and the under respected Lee Mortimer . Downtown & Jaxxon used to be club promoters which helped them to get their music plays by their guest DJ’s and eventually having their Spraycan EP put out by Dubsided.

The track is bouncy and fun and was dropped by The Bloody Beetroots on their last trip to Toronto according to a source close to me, which is exactly the kind of DJ recognition which got them released in the first place.

John Roman is as Canadian as poutine and as skilled at what he does as someone who can kill a fly using a dart and a blowgun. He’s that good. I’ve been impressed with the London, Ontario native since I first heard Who’s Afraid of Cornelius (his take on the bloody beetroots track, which he blows out of the water) and after the recent release of Warp It Down I’m completely convinced of his talent. You can really hear the attention to detail when you listen to Warp It Down on a good pair of headphones and hear Aoki’s “whoop whoop”(s) bouncing back and forth between the headphones among other signs of skill that you can pick up. Not only does the dude make sick songs with the exception of a few (although I may be wrong) they’re all offered by the man himself for download. Twice he takes on the Beetroots and twice the songs are better for it. This is an act that I will definitely keep an eye on.

Good song throughout with a lot of depth and a lot of different sounds. The instrumentals throughout are beautiful and flawless and give it a more dramatic feeling. It basically kills the Beetroots version of the song 100 times over.

The guy pictured above is Steve Angello , 1/3 of the Swedish House Mafia. For those of you who know music and are saying that there’s four members you’re incorrect. Eric Prydz now lives in London and therefore is no longer part of the mafia. Although that is completely irrelevant. The bottom line is that Mr. Angello was nice enough to give to the world the free download of his new track, which is deep and beautiful. It reminds me of the music that they would play in a nude community in the rain forest. That’s how beautiful it is. It’s appropriately named Che Flute and it’s those beautiful flute melodies that make it the kind of house that even your parents could enjoy.

Yesterday (my birthday), Mr Felix Cartal ‘s Skeleton EP came out on the monster label Dim Mak . Everybody that Steve Aoki signs seems to be doing ridiculous and so I should never have doubted him but I must admit that at first I wasn’t a fan of Felix Cartal for some reason which now I couldn’t possibly conjure up if I tried. Maybe it was the phone call that I received when he was in Toronto which allowed me to listen to him spinning that changed my mind?

Just putting it out there this post has my two favorite songs at the moment probably in it so feel lucky.

Well anyways here is the set. They’re It’s nothing special just something I whipped together on my computer (not my number one choice of medium). They It doesn’t really make much sense either in a sense that it doesn’t really stick to one theme I kind of just threw together what would make people dance. At very least it made me dance so that’s mission accomplished as far as I’m concerned. It wouldn’t hurt to download it just as something to listen/jam/drive to. I promise one day I’ll get a set done with turntables on here.

This was the second one and is the more heavy(ish) electro one. Once again I can never stick to one theme but it got people dancing and that’s all that matters.

It’s Wednesday so I’m going to be nice. I’m just building though until the weekend. Friday or possibly Saturday or maybe Sunday I’m just going to go crazy with the bass and post songs that you can’t help but love and jam out to.
For the most part I’m reluctant to post my favorite and biggest tracks but you know what it’s been a good week so I might just be generous. You never know.

Dusty Kid is just about the only Techno producer I actually like. I may be wrong and actually love some other Techno producer but I’m not that well versed in the intricacies of the differences between Techno and minimal and all that stuff. One day I’ll take the time to learn I promise. Anyways, the Italian producer is killing it (like his countrymen Crookers and The Bloody Beetroots). I’m not sure if I like techno but I really like this guy’s stuff. The Kitten is sick and so is The Cat, which was remixed by the Crookers ever so beautifully, and now he’s done it again with Lynchesque. It’s dark but kind of bouncy at the same time and I think it’s huge.

The next track I got over at Fancy Sounds and couldn’t have been more excited when I saw that the Australian boys that are Trumpdisco had released another track already knew it was going to be huge. I think everyone’s been keeping an eye on them since they absolutely demolished Mr Oizo’s Hun and their track Supermassive impressed the shit out of me in all honesty. It’s bassy and it’s what you want. It may even be too bassy for some people. Don’t listen to it unless you have sick speakers and they are turned all the way up. Loud it’s beautiful soft it just isn’t the same don’t do it. So here it is. The second official remix from the boys down under.

It’s days like today when it’s raining that I don’t always feel like such serious bass when I’m driving. Besides, it’s too early in the week for any real bangers – those will come closer to the weekend I guarantee that. For now though I thought I’d just let you in on what’s playing in my car as of a few hours ago when I burnt the very last CD left in my tower.

First up is the new Justice remix. I know, I know I have a little Justice obsession. It’s Lenny Kravitz, which may turn some people off but this song is good just to chill. If you’re looking for a banger this is most definitely not it. I just want to show the direction that the French duo is going in. It’s more of a “song” than anything they’ve done before and it makes for easy listening and it’s extremely Justice. In the sense that it has that Justice-disco beat going on for it. It’s a real mellow listen and I love that trumpet.

Next up is a nice remix of Little Boot’s new single New In Town. This English singing sensation is no stranger to the remix already having huge remixes done of the tracks Meddle and the legendary Stuck On Repeat. This time she’s taken on by A1 Bassline (who I always thought was more of a dubstep producer). He does a good job though doesn’t make it too hard I’d say it’s more a dance track than a banger but it’s most definitely a driving song. Almost feels like a theme song.

So I got an external hard drive on Sunday so that I can finally find my music and download music and keep posting and all that good stuff. Finally. That being said there will be a lot of big stuff being posted later this week.

In the process of moving a tonne and a half of songs from my hard drive I listened to a song every now and then that I didn’t recognize at all. What I found is two songs that will make you dance or at least move around a little at very least.

This track if from Daze Of Thunder , the duo from the U. S. of A. who made the killer Riddle of Steel remix a while back. (which you can check out on their myspace.) It kind of has a Hong Kong-ish feel to it if that’s even possible. Maybe you’ll see what I mean. It may not sound like much depending on what speakers or whatever you’re bumping it though but trust me the right amount of bass and the right place and this one has people dancing all over the place.

This next one is something that almost made me laugh at first because really I try steer clear of even Euro because most of it is brutal and I start this song and well.. you’ll hear what I mean. I have no idea who this “Nina” is but I think it’s safe to say that it’s probably Cascada’s cousin or something along those lines. But don’t let the cheesy vocals kill it for you because once the beat drops this bangs. Not too much though more like a hard knock at the door. For anybody who really knows their music it sounds like Cascada being remixed by Klaas. But really this one will get people dancing. 100% guarantee on that you just might want to drop it after the fluffy vocals die out. It’s remixed by Electrified who I haven’t heard of before this but I’ve got to say they did a good job on this one. (In all honesty most of their stuff is sounding the same to me.)
